Daytona Bike Week marked the beginning of the American Flat Track 2023 season. If you are a flat track fan, the first two rounds were not a disappointment. Round 3 will be in Senoia, Georgia on March 25th, a little closer to the home of RoadDirt.tv. Perhaps you’re planning on attending the races with family and friends. If so, you’ll want to wander the pits to meet the riders and gather some autographs. I am always a little star struck when attending a race to photograph these confident and talented men and women. Often, they are happy to make time for a quick chat and friendly banter. One such rider is Andrew Luker who earned two top 10 finishes at the Daytona Short Track in the Parts Unlimited AFT Singles class.

BTR Returns At VIR

Women racers and builders are reaching new heights in road racing in 2022, as the groundbreaking Royal Enfield “Build. Train. Race.” (BTR) program prepares to launch their biggest season yet. Fifteen women from across the United States, from different age groups and varied backgrounds, will come together for the six-round exhibition series starting this weekend, May 20-22, as part of the MotoAmerica race season at Virginia International Raceway in Alton, Virginia.

Royal Enfield Expands BTR Road Racing for 2022

The field is set for the 2022 Royal Enfield “Build. Train. Race.” (BTR) season, and as promised, the new program is the largest yet. The BTR Road Race roster doubles in size from the previous season, with 15 women on the grid, and the Royal Enfield exhibition is set to visit six MotoAmerica venues in 2022. Professional road racer and crew chief Melissa Paris also returns to Royal Enfield BTR as the mentor to the women through each phase of the program.

Jake Breaks Record At Brainerd

Jake Gagne made history on Sunday at Brainerd International Raceway in Minnesota, the Fresh N’ Lean Attack Performance Yamaha rider racing to his 11th straight MotoAmerica HONOS Superbike win, breaking a record set jointly by four-time AMA Superbike Champion Josh Hayes and five-time MotoAmerica Superbike Champion Cameron Beaubier.

The Fast Girls

Last year, in the midst of a pandemic, Royal Enfield launched a groundbreaking initiative called “Build. Train. Race.” The program was designed to involve women in building and racing their own custom flat track motorcycles, using the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 platform. They would then be trained by pro racers and teams, would procure sponsorships, then race their creations in selected American Flat Track rounds.
