Its been quite a year

It has been quite the holiday season already here in the United States. Although everyone celebrated Thanksgiving, it seems like Christmas decoration, sales, and the general spirit of the season began right after Halloween. So much of it is commerce-driven, of course, but I still love this season, when you peel back all of the extraneous layers.

We’ve also experienced the thrill of a new grandson, born right before Thanksgiving. Grandson 1 has a little brother now, and we’ve been spending much time with our daughter and son-in-law, helping with the newborn and acclimating the older brother to a new sibling in the family. Here at Road Dirt, we are winding down for Christmas and the end of the year. We’ve been publishing gear reviews for the holidays, most of our motorcycle loaners are back to their respective brands (we still have that crazy Honda Fury chopper), and reflecting on the busy yet exciting year 2025 was.

Granddude number 2, with happy Grampa.

We’ve heard from so many of you across the past twelve months, how much you’ve enjoyed our travelogues and road trip stories, the racing and rallies we’ve covered, and how much you’ve appreciated our honest bike and gear reviews. I still pinch myself at times that I get to do this for a living, however meager that living may be! We all do this because we love motorcycling, and we love the motorcycling community.

So from my growing family to yours, and from all of us here at Road Dirt, we wish you a happy holiday season, a Merry Christmas, and a most blessed New Year.

Rob
