A Chat With Josh Hayes
by Rob Brooks | Oct 10, 2022 | Industry & Racing, Ride Life | 0 |
For those who have ever followed American motorcycle road racing, Josh Hayes is a familiar name and face. The four-time AMA Superbike champion and his wife Melissa Paris have established themselves as motorcycle racing royalty here in the States, setting/breaking records, leading successful race teams, coaching younger riders, and were even featured in the already iconic motorcycling movie, “Why We Ride”. We’ve covered the MotoAmerica motorcycle racing series since our inception in January of 2019. Senior editor Rob has covered the series since it’s inception in 2015. We have a great history with Wayne Rainey and company. So we were excited to learn the news that MotoAmerica was teaming up with Triple-B Media to launch MotoAmerica TV, a 24-hour, 7-day a week television network dedicated to airing MotoAmerica’s racing to a worldwide audience, dating back to the series’ first season in 2015. Jake Gagne has won every race he has finished in the 2021 MotoAmerica Superbike championship, in dominating fashion. His string of seven consecutive victories astride his Fresh N Lean Attack Performance Yamaha R1 has him standing firmly atop the Superbike points race. He’s drawing comparisons to five-time MotoAmerica Superbike champ Cameron Beaubier, even as Jake smashes lap records set by his predecessor. Man and machine are truly dialed in with each other, as evidenced by Jake’s mastery so far this season. He’s riding like we’ve never seen him ride before.

Italian women are often portrayed in pop culture as sophisticated, sensuous, and svelte. They are also frequently portrayed as hot-headed and mercurial, quick to slap the crap out of you should you press your luck. And yet who among us guys, at some point in our lives weren’t gobsmacked at some Italian beauty we beheld, on screen or in print? We desired her, dreamed of her, even if we knew we might never have her.
Such is often our reaction to the sleek Italian motorcycle brands, and their exotic models. Beautiful yet volatile, alluring yet threatening, they beckon us to take them for a ride, dare us really, and yet are more than prepared to smack us down should we misbehave with them.
Suzuki Unveils 2021 GSX-R1000R Legends Bikes
by Rob Brooks | Dec 30, 2020 | Bikes & Gear, Industry & Racing | 2 |
Now with this year’s crowning of Joan Mir in the 2020 MotoGP road racing series, Suzuki has revealed a special edition run of their GSX-R monarchs over the years, each in the paint scheme of the year it stood atop the GP championship. Each will come stock with an Akrapovic exhaust system and livery-matched seat cowling. They are beautiful recreations of their championship counterparts, and we thought we’d share them with you, if you haven’t beheld them yet.
